Rosa Pomar - Pegulhal

NZ$20.00

Pegulhal is a non-superwash plied yarn made from Bordaleira da Serra da Estrela and Portuguese Merino, two native Portuguese sheep breeds. As Rosa Pomar notes, this fingering weight, woollen-spun yarn is for knitters who like a truly wooly yarn. It’s dyed in the wool and perfect for stranded knitting.

Count on this yarn to bloom and soften considerably after being washed, which means that washing and blocking your swatch will be very important to ensure you get the correct gauge for your project.

Each 50g skein has 220m of yarn, with a recommended needle size of 3mm-4mm. Gauge runs from 24-32 stitches x 30-40 rows over a 10cm square.
