Rosa Pomar - Brusca

22.00

Brusca is a breed and flock specific two-ply yarn made in Portugal from 50 percent Saloia and 50 percent Merino Branco and Merino Preto wool.

Saloia is the native sheep breed to the region of Lisbon and Setúbal. This breed is well documented back to the 19th century when its wool was one of the finest available in the country. Saloia sheep are also well-known for their milk, which is used to produce the traditional Azeitão cheese.

Brusca is made from the wool of free range sheep. The wool is grown, scoured, milled and dyed in Portugal, where mulesing is not practised.

This yarn is non-superwash and not bleached.
