Brusca yarn is a Portuguese two-ply DK weight yarn made of 50% Saloia and 50% Merino Branco and Merino Preto wool. It is grown, scoured, milled and dyed in Portugal.

Saloia is the native sheep breed to the region of Lisbon and Setúbal - beloved for its wool and also for its milk, which is used to produce the famous Azeitão cheese.

Like all Rosa Pomar yarns, it is non-superwash and not bleached. Shades A, B, C and BC are undyed.

Each 50g skein contains approx 125 meters of yarn. The recommended needle size is 4mm-5mm.
