John Arbon Yarnadelic

NZ$35.00

We are in love with every shade of Yarnadelic created by the colour-loving team at John Arbon Textiles. The yarn range, spun from 100 percent Falklands Corriedale, was inspired by John’s vast and eclectic record collection, which features everything from punk to funk, with lots of stops in between.

The story goes that one evening John played a few of his favourites for the Mill team and, as they sipped a few glasses of chilled wine, they wrote down the colour each song evoked. “Then the hand carders came out and we began creating shades to illustrate the sentiment of each song - and thus the palette for Yarnadelic was born,” according to the team.

What’s Corriedale yarn like? The breed is a cross of Merino and Lincoln Longwool, with fibres that balance softness and bounce from the Merino with a slight lustre and long staple length of the Lincoln Longwool. It’s worsted spun into a rounded three-ply structure, making it ideal for everything from cables to lace, garments to accessories.

The yarn knits up as a sport weight / heavy four-ply.

John has even made a Spotify playlist in celebration of the range if you want to listen along while you knit with this gorgeous yarn.

LIMITED EDITIONS: We’ve got a very limited amount of Brewed by the Mill Folk special colourways - Soul Drums and We Love You are our last remaining skeins. These shades have all been dreamt up by the fabulous folk who work at John Arbon Textiles. Once they’re gone, we are unlikely to be able to get more!

Each 100g skein contains approximately 333m.

Gauge at 4 inches of stocking stitch is 23.0 to 26.0 sts.
