John Arbon Exmoor Sock

NZ$24.00

Exmoor Sock yarn from John Arbon is a fantastic blend that starts with the durable character and bounce of the fibre from Devon’s Exmoor Blueface sheep, which is a cross breed of the Exmoor Horn (full-bodied and hard-wearing) and the Bluefaced Leicester (renowned for its softness and lustre). Added to this is the naturally dark brown-black Devon Zwartbles, for extra bounce and a subtle fleck of colour; Falklands Corriedale to enhance softness and stitch definition; and a bit of nylon for durability.

The breakdown is: 60 percent Exmoor Blueface; 20 percent Corriedale; 10 percent Zwartbles; and 10 percent nylon.

Each 50g skein contains approximately 200 meters of yarn.

Gauge is at 36 sts x 44 rows over 10 cm / 4 inches with a recommended needle size of 2.25mm.
