The Miller is a softly structured waistcoat with a boxy fit, two welt pockets and a simple stitched belt at the back. You can layer up in the winter or wear it on its own in the summer in a tumbled linen.

Skill level is Intermediate - but if you leave out the welt pockets, Merchant & Mills suggest it could be suitable for advanced beginners.

This is a printed pattern including sizes 6 – 18 or sizes 18 - 28. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Suitable fabrics include a 5-8oz linen, 5-10oz denim, light-medium weight corduroy, wool, wool blends, cotton canvas or twill. For the lining try choosing lightweight wovens such as calico, cotton lawn, cotton, cotton blends, tencel/linen. And when choosing the lining cloth, consider that it may be visible.
