The Lab Coat is a workwear inspired coat with a mid-length style. Features a hidden button front, a clean round neck and large patch pockets for added functionality.

This is a multi-size pattern that comes in two size ranges, including either XS-L or XL-3XL. Seam allowances are included in the pattern.

Fabric requirements are as folows:

• 140-150 cm fabric width

  XS-S 2.7 m / M-L 2.8 m / XL 3 m / 2XL-3XL 3.4 m

• 110-120 cm fabric width

  XS-S 3.4 m / M-L 3.5 m / XL 3.9 m / 2XL-3XL 4.0 m

You’ve got many suitable fabric choices. For a workwear touch, think about heavyweight fabric such as canvas, twill, panama, denim, and corduroy. For a dress-like version, you could go for a light- to midweight fabric such as linen, denim, cotton twill, wool, or lightweight canvas. In that case, you might also want to skip the hidden button front and go for visible buttons and no lower pockets. If you’re looking for an even softer variant, something more like a cardigan or kaftan, choose a lightweight fabric, visible buttons and no pockets.

The sample shown was sewn in a cotton stretch twill khaki.

• The model is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S. The dress has a wide shape, making it an easy fit. Use your bust measurement for sizing.
