The Ellis and Hattie, a Merchant & Mills pattern
The Ellis and Hattie, a Merchant & Mills pattern
This is a paper pattern for two versions of a simple, flowing dress. "If Ellis is a gentle woman then Hattie is a blithe bachelorette," say Merchant & Mills.
Both feature four delicate neck darts, Ellis gets some more feminine shaping from bust darts and is waisted, with set in sleeves and inseam side pockets. Hattie has a lined bodice, dropped waist and bold patch pockets.
Suitable for linen or light wools, light to medium weight woven cottons such as drill or sanded canvas.
This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 6-18 and 18-28. Both have 1.5cm seam allowances apart from the neck, which has a 1cm seam allowance. These are included in the pattern.
The pattern piece for the skirt is quite wide so the specified fabric is 120cm. You can use narrower fabric on the following sizes:
For Ellis sizes 8 & 10 in 112cm wide fabric
For Hattie sizes 8, 10 & 12 in 112cm wide fabric
For Hattie size 8 in 106cm wide fabric.
