Merchant & Mills call these red extra-shapes the crème de la crème of tailoring scissors. Made in Sheffield, they have chrome-plated blades and beautiful red enamelled handles. They are 25cm (10-inch) extra-sharp shears with corrosion protection on the inside.

They are forged from high carbon tool steel with offset handles and machined pivot screw. One blade is micro serrated whilst the other is traditional knife edge allowing for enhanced grip when cutting, making them ideal for slippery and fine cloth. 

Please note that due to the serrated edge these cannot be sharpened. At the contact point Merchant & Mills advises that chipping may occur quite soon after use begins as the repetitive hit loosens the paint, which unfortunately cannot be avoided.
