Tukuwool
Tukuwool
This is beautiful fingering-weight wool spun from Finnish sheep in Finland.
This two-ply yarn is light and bouncy and blooms into an even, smooth fabric after blocking. Tukuwool recommends five to seven skeins for a medium-size sweater, or a single skein for a pair of mittens.
We have chosen a range of their solid and heathered colours that will work well alone or in sumptuous colourwork.
Each 50g skein has 195m of wool spun from a blend of Finnsheep and Finnsheep-Texel crossbreed. Recommended needle sizes are 2mm - 3.5mm with a gauge of 24-30 stitches per 10cm.

Several lovely designs have been released in the last couple of years as Tukuwool has grown in popularity, including Isabell Kraemer’s beautiful yoked pullover, Aamu, the Ujo dress by Ankestrik in issue 2 of Laine magazine, and Ysolda Teague’s simply elegant Stockbridge cardigan.
